If you are looking for a facial scrub that is easy, inexpensive and smells delicious this is a quick project for you! My daughter and I made this up in about less then 10 minutes. Here are the easy instructions for an awesome facial scrub:
First you will need:
2 cups of white sugar
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 lemon
small mason jar or jar of your choice
Here is how it’s made:
First you pour 2 cups of sugar into a large bowl
Then take lemon and zest the outside rhine
Then heat up 1/4 cup coconut oil (in microwave) and pour over sugar and mix
Next take the lemon you zest and cut in half and take out seeds
Squeeze all the lemon juice out of it. (this smells so good)
Pour the lemon juice and all the zest into the bowl of sugar & mix
Pack the sugar mix in the jar (this is a 8 oz. jar) I actually filled 2- 8 oz. jars with this one recipe.
This is wonderful to use at home OR to give out as a gift! There is nothing like a homemade gift from someone! It’s special and from the heart. If you enjoyed this recipe, why not PIN IT~ You may also want to try Homemade brown sugar scrub tomorrow!!! Stay tuned!
I love, love, love sugar scrubs! I’ve been using sugar scrubs as a facial polish since I was a teenager and I swear by it. I use it as an all-over scrub as well. It is wonderful. Coconut oil is one of my go-to oils, so your post caught my attention. I love the addition of grated lemon rind. This sounds like it’d be the perfect morning scrub, The jar and label is adorable!

Can this be left in the shower for daily use or does it have to go in the fridge when not in use?

I leave mine in the shower but I don’t think it would hurt to store in the frig either.
