Sisterhood Magazine review & give-away

IMG_3193

I am very excited to have the opportunity to review Sisterhood Magazine.  This is a Christian magazine geared towards teen girls.

There are many magazines out there in the world to lure our young daughters in with fashion, celebrities, latest trends, etc. So much bombarding them and having a negative effect on their lives.    I don’t know about you but I’m pretty picky about that my teen girls read, listen to, and  watch.   When I was introduced to Sisterhood Magazine, I wasn’t  sure what to expect but to my surprise….it was very well put together.

There were numerous articles I found that were thought provoking and I also noticed that the images they portray where images that were healthy in content instead of what the world portrays to young girls.   I feel that is SO important as a young girl growing up these days.  They do not need another magazine with unhealthy and unrealistic images of young girls.

Sisterhood Magazine is geared towards teen girls and the many topics geared towards them are:  healthy relationships, intimacy with Christ, healthy role models, positive self-imagine along with many others.    You can read more about it HERE

My older two daughters (who are 17 years and 15 years old) had a chance to review these as well.  I gave them an opportunity to read through and give me an honest opinion of what they thought of it.

One of my daughters said, “There were so many articles that pertained to everyday life of a teen girl.”

Some other articles I found interesting is about teaching our daughters about really knowing Christ, not just saying your a Christian.  Very powerful article.  Another one I found interesting is showing them the different religions that are out there and how you can understand a little more about their false teachings.  That is a very nice tool for young people to have!

All in all….I would recommend Sisterhood magazine to other Christian teen girls.  I believe there is a lot of worthy articles that would help encourage and inspire their walk with the Lord.

Now here comes the good part!!!  I will be giving away a ONE YEAR Subscription to one of my readers!  All you need to do is enter the contest below!  How awesome it that!

It looks like just the thing for the eldest of my 3 girls!! I’ve been looking for something for her to read that’s not filled with the junk society wants girls to believe & instead, direct her towards her walk with God.

I am really exited about this giveaway. My grandpa always sent me Brio magazines when I was a kid and I loved it. I am sure I would love this just as much!

I would love to try this magazine. When my oldest daughter was old enough to get Brio, they stopped the magazine. I was disappointed, but am curious about this magazine. I’d not heard about this one before. Thanks!

  8. Hi, Linking of from Marriage Mondays. Looks like a great magazine – I’m a big fan of Focus on The Family. Don’t have teens anymore, but I bet this is great info for parents and teens out there. I always leave the radio show with new information.
