Character First Curriculum Review & Give-away

IMG_3159 (1)

Building Character in our children takes time.  It takes patience on our part.  In most cases it takes years!   It’s like the parable in the Bible of “Sowing and Reaping”.

What we put into training, we are going to get out of training!   Besides leading our children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, we should be instilling in them Character that will last them for a lifetime.

Character is the building blocks to our lives.   If good character is not built and established it effects our relationships, our jobs, our families, everything we do!  Our character makes up who we are as a person.

Character_SignWhat I liked about Character First curriculum is that it covers in detail every character trait you can imagine.  Probably even ones that you forgot about too.   Each student guide is broken up into 4 different series which cover a total of 36 Character Traits.

This program is very thought out and detailed and assists parents as they train and teach their children.  They offer a wide variety from music and DVD’s to character cards they collect.

There are also many other resources that go along with the student guide which can be found HERE

This give-away includes :

  • “Series 1”  Attentiveness, Obedience, Truthfulness, Gratefulness, Generosity, Orderliness, Forgiveness, Sincerity, Virtue

There are 3 other series to add to this.  So this give-away is just for the 1st series.   It also comes in a 3 ring binder to keep all the lessons neatly together.  Also there are activities and other suggested lessons available for each character training.

  7. What an awesome giveaway! I’m most excited about ‘gratefulness’. There is so much entitlement in our culture, and I’m really hoping to battle it here at home! Thanks for the review!

We need help with obedience. The children seem to think that any punishment is worth it in exchange to do what they want!

  14. Thanks so much for sharing about this curriculum and providing the Giveaway. Character curriculum is always a good way to go as it helps us as moms to focus on what is important in homeschooling. I homeschooled for over 25+ years and this is the first year that I am not homeschooling.

This sounds like a wonderful curriculum! I want my children to have obedience. Mostly to the Word of God. Because being obedient to Him first, means all the rest will follow at some point! 😀 Even if I don’t win this, I’m saving this for later !!! 😀
